Beaches In Wellfleet

The town of Wellfleet is home to many gorgeous beaches. There are Ocean side beaches as well as Bay beaches. Ocean has colder water, but huge waves (good for surfing and and wave jumping). The Bay has warmer water. Make sure to check the tide before you go. There are also many lakes and ponds to swim in.

During the official Cape season (Memorial through Labor Day) you need a beach sticker to park in the lots.

Activities

Wellfleet is known for having some amazing galleries. They are lovely to walk through after a long day at the beach. Here is a list of all of the galleries-

Wellfleet is home to the best-known bar on all of Cape Cod- It overlooks the Cahoon Hollow beach. At night, it is a full-scale indoor and outdoor bar with a life band (21+)

We also enjoy a nice fire- the house has a fire pit in the backyard just for this

Places to eat (and drink)

There are many wonderful restaurants in Wellfleet and the surrounding Lower Cape area.

Some of the Khatutsky favorite spots:

***** PB Boulangerie/Bistro ****
This is the #1 food destination. Amazing French pastries (get there early!) as well as evening French fine-dining. We recommend biking the path that ends at PB and eating all the calories you've just burned off.

Anna's Favorite-
Mac's Shack - 91 Commercial Street, http://www.macsseafood.com/macs_shack.asp

(Has a great sushi and stellar cocktail menu- opens at 3 PM)

Moby Dick's (very family friendly)

Mac's Seafood- great place to pick up fresh seafood ingredients. Hatch (right in Wellfleet Center) also has good ingredients. The Wellfleet Marketplace is a good spot to pick up any ingredients you forgot (although it is quite pricey). We tend to bring most of the ingredients from home. There is also a Liquor store in town.

We like to get quick bites at :
PJ's

Ice-Cream - we like to get some at the Pier and walk around

Although it's in Eastham---The Friendly Fisherman has the best Lobster Roll (in life according to Anna)
